Our RPG-2 launchers are brand-new and 100% American-made. Upgraded for the 21st century. Available with wraparound picatinny rails for optics and accessories mounting.  Upgraded materials from the originals used by the Soviets. Available in 5 different colors (see color sample), with custom color upgrades at extra cost. Available accessories include a second grip handle, 2 different rear venturi cones (shown), cleaning brushes, optics, custom heatshields, etc. Contact us for custom applications. Some like them in the classic original configuration, while others prefer a more modern take with updated furniture, like the American RPG-7's from "those other guys".

This is a Destructive Device that the customer registers with the ATF on a Form 1 ($200 tax-paid registration of a DD). The launcher is engraved with the customer's info and promptly sent to them. Upon approval, the customer removes the round-indexing notch at the front, essentially creating a DD in the eyes of the law. This is done to save on transfer times. Only 1 registration as opposed to 2 (us to dealer in your state, dealer to you). Also, the processing times on Form 1's are considerably shorter than Form 4's.

*** Price reflects cash discount, extra 3% for CC payments.

Note:  Launches all legacy RPG-2 ammunition, INCLUDING newly manufactured AZAO Inc. rounds.

History:

The RPG-2 is the predecessor of the famous RPG-7, and was introduced in 1949. It filled an important role as a support weapon for the destruction of vehicles, buildings, and "soft targets". The RPG in the name RPG-2 stands not for Rocket Propelled Grenade but for the Russian Ruchnoy Protivotankovy Granatomyot or hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher. Design of this weapon began during late World War II. The idea was to develop a weapon with the best characteristics of the German Panzerfaust and the US Bazooka.

The RPG-2 is a reusable single-shot smoothbore steel tube with a diameter of 40 millimeters. This recoilless, shoulder-fired, muzzle-loaded launcher has flip-up iron sights sighted out to 150 meters as standard, with rails for the mounting of optics.

The RPG-2 is effective against moving targets out to a maximum range of 100 meters. Against stationary targets and buildings, this figure is increased to 150 meters. The launcher is compatible with the PG-2 round. Weighing about 1.8 kilograms, the PG-2 is a fin-stabilized High-Explosive Anti-Tank (HEAT) round. This round penetrates at most 200 millimeters of Rolled Homogenous Armor (RHA).

The RPG-2 has seen conflict in a large number of wars including the Vietnam War, Cambodian Civil War, Somalia Civil War, Yugoslav Wars, Libyan Civil War, and Syrian Civil War. It is is currently used by China (in the reserves), although other countries and organizations may also use it. In the past, it has seen service with Soviet Union, Cambodia, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Laos, Libya, Macedonia, Thailand, Yugoslavia, Myanmar (Burma), Czechoslovakia Republic, Poland and Egypt.
